Help with Spot Light and tk2dcamera
« on: November 16, 2013, 10:21:06 pm »
Hi,
I need help with tk2dCamera not showing light on the top part of the screen?
As you can see in the first picture, light is not showing on the background in the upper half. However, when I move tk2dCamera up it will show the light as you can see in the second picture.
My background is a tiled sprite and the shader for it is set to LitBlendVertexColor. And the light I am using is a spotlight.

This was a bug in Unity that they fixed. Maybe they broke it again? What version are you on?

That's weird. I will try another version and see what I come up with.
I am using Unity V4.3.0f4.
And thanks for your help.

What version of tk2d are you using? If you create a normal sprite and scale it up, is that lit properly??
You have enabled normals, right?

I am using 2D Toolkit v2.3.0
As you requested I have tried a normal sprite and it gave me the same results.

I have already enabled normals from the sprite sheet settings.

Sounds very much like the bug is back :(
Love it when this happens.

I'll look into it. If you can send me a repro case for this (support at unikronsoftware.com) I'd really appreciate it, as I can report it to Unity and tie it in to my old bug id.
