Scrollable Area Masks not Working

I just dragged the prefab on, and the masks work for the background image, but not for anything I put within the content area. I have adjusted depth, so that it encompases the text, and calculated content length, but I am having no luck.

Please post a repro scene for this - I can't guess how you've got things set up from your description.
