I'm sorry you can't play it :(
I've been talking to the contest staff, and it looks like the app is indeed limited to Latin America, Brasil, Spain and the US. Looks like a policy of the  contest.

I kinda hurts us because its been from outside that poeple seem more interested. But oh well, I guess we have to deal with it for now :(

In fact, wanted to put this small review we got on a video in youtube. Might at least work so you can check it the gameplay a little bit :).

Showcase / Square Enix Latin American Game Contest 2012 - Poltergeist

Hello everyone n_n

We were competing in this contest and we were fortunate enough to land as a finalist!
Poltergeist is a game in which you are the ghost! You will have to scare all fo the residents of your house in each level.
It is a completely free application avaliable on Android (soon also on iOS, it is in the review stage right now I believe).

In this game we used 2D toolkit for all the sprites and for the tiling system in each level. It was fun and easy n_n.

Play it here on Google play n_n

Showcase / Dee Music Land - Rhythm game - Video
« on: September 15, 2012, 05:15:02 pm »
Hello eveyrone n_n

Been using 2DTookit for some time, and I really like it.

Anyway, I wanted to show a game we've been working on, its called "Dee Music Land" (I'm the programer, and Diana E. Pacheco is the artist  :)). We created this game (and another, also using 2D tookit, but well keep that oine secret for now ;)). For a game development contest held in latin America by Square-Enix. We hope we can win ;D.

Since the deadline is over, and the judges are deliberating, we think we can show this video we made some time ago.
This video was made for the people at Jamendo and Bandcamp music services. We were making a rythm. The idea was to convince them to use their music services as part of the API of the game.
Since the contest also states that games should remain free, we were home free on that regard. But we would still have to convince the people from Bandcamp and Jamendo to use and approve their API. And of course we had to have a tangible proof of our work, not just and idea.

We showed them this video, and they agreed (and bandcamp gave us acces tot heir api) based on the condition that the applications remains free.  We feel thankful for that because if we wouldn't have their approval, the game would be limited severely and hamper the experience by the lack of songs to choose (You can only put so much there, and reading from mobile devices has many "license issues" that we preferred not to tackle).

That video is that video we sent to them. We hope you enjoy :).

Releases / Re: 2D Toolkit 1.70 beta 2

Hello, been testing the tilemap features and I'm super happy about it n_n.

However I do hav an issue and I don't know how can you handle it..

Right now I'm using the tile system rotated (in the X-Z plane). And I just rotated both objects on the ground. And it work fine, except that when I pres ctrl-z the tiles rotate again to the default position...

Maybe there's is a chance that you could be able to choose the plane you want to edit the tiles?... or maybe that you can rotate the tiles without any inconvenient...

Thanks a lot.
