Hi there,
Do you have any news about the next update?
It has been a long time(nearly 1 year), We don't have any update for 2d toolkit.
Thanks!
-
The next update will be support update for unity 5.5. We don't have plans for any major feature changes anytime soon - all our time available for this project is spent on support.
-
In Unity 5.5 has already accumulated 31 warning, they are a little alarming.

I look forward to an update.
And thanks again for 2DToolkit! :)

Don't worry about those, they're harmless and can be ignored. They've been fixed for Unity 5.4, but looks like they added more for 5.5. They've mostly been fixed but I haven't got around to releasing a new build yet.
-
I have a problem on Unity 5.5 when I'm using a Texture as Unity Default Sprite and on the tk2DCollection... On Unity 5.5 tk2d is always reseting the configuration from my native sprite and reseting it do default.
-
@wagenheimer - Will sort this for the next update, usually only start fixing for beta releases once it drops into RC.
-
I've updated tk2d for unity 5.5 now!
@wagenheimer - what is it you're trying to do here? Are you trying to import a sprite into tk2d and then use the same sprite as a unity sprite? I don't think this has ever been supported properly - the whole idea with tk2d being you don't have to save the source images there... feels like it defeats the purpose.
-
Yes...
I have some old projects when I have a mixed tk2d and Native Sprites. I know that is not recommended, but I was not able to migrate everything yet. Is there some way to support both on 5.5?

Where can I find the updated version!? The one in the asset store is still 2.5.6 ...
-
It has been in testing over the weekend, but it has been now released on the forums (http://2dtoolkit.com/forum/index.php/topic,5457.msg24748.html#new)

Just saw the update. Can you detail how to properly upgrade from older version of 2DTK? I'm on 2.5.1.
Thanks!
-
Backup your project (this is really really important), then import the new package over it - it should upgrade cleanly. Remember there is a known issue build issue, there's a fix in the thread.

excellent, thank you!
