It seems the events from the tk2dButton script aren't getting called currently. The only one I seem to get is button up when I let go on the button, and button down if I drag off the button while holding down the mouse then let go off the button.

That is a bug, I think I might have checked in the wrong version when I made these changes ages ago unfortunately :(
It will be fixed in the next release, but if you need it sooner, send me a PM and I'll get you the latest version
