I believe there was a "no normals found" or similar error listed, but that's now a moot point.  Your suggestion to update Unity to 4.6 did the trick -- all works just fine now.  Thanks for the quick help, as always!

Hello!

I'm currently running Unity 4.3.4f1 (I do plan to update Unity later, after squaring the following away!) and just updated 2dtk from 2.3.3 to 2.5.4.  After this transition, all of my sprites from my existing SpriteCollections look pink.  If I change a SpriteCollection's shader from the standard tk2d/BlendVertexColor (which used to work for me) to something like sprites/default, the sprites show up in my game view but have some weird display errors and are still pink in editors like the SpriteAnimation editor.  I imagine there's an easy fix for this, but it's eluding me so far.

Along the same lines, I tried to create a new SpriteCollection and am running into a similar issue.  The resulting sprites look pink, and by default the created material isn't even connected to the created atlas.  A lot of the new settings go over my head, but prior to updating, this approach worked -- so I was able to get away with my lack of knowledge by default!

If you need any more info to diagnose, just let me know.

Thanks for your help!

Thanks for the super-quick reply!  I can get by without undo/redo for now, but I'll keep my eyes open for other issues, and if I notice any I suppose I'll bite the bullet and migrate.  Cheers and thanks again!

Hi Unikron!  After long delay I just updated Unity to 4.3.4f1 and ran into the same issue posted here.  I know this problem has been fixed in 2DTK 2.3, however I'm nearing the end of a project and still running 2DTK 1.92 Final, and I'd prefer to avoid migrating now if possible.

So, is there a reasonably-simple way for me to fix this in my local copy of 1.92 Final, perhaps just by copy-pasting in what you did for 2.3?

Or, if not, can you confirm that the only problem caused by this error is the loss of Undo/Redo?  If need be, I can live without them for awhile, but not preferable of course.

Thanks for your help!

I don't think there were any issues introduced between 4.1.2 and 4.1.5, but as always make a backup of the project :)

Will do -- SVN is my friend!  :)  Just figured I'd ask beforehand, in case there were any subtle problems you knew of.  Thanks!

I'm still using 1.92 final, as I'm VERY close to release and don't want to risk breaking things beforehand.

I'm using an older version of Unity as well (4.1.2f1), but I would like to upgrade to current (4.1.5f1) if you believe that's a safe thing to do.  Can you advise, Unikron?  Thanks!

I just ran into this as well, on 1.92 final.

It crashed on me a couple times as well, but I thought maybe it was just me since Unity had crashed for different reasons for me earlier today.  When I deleted the tk2d and tk2d_demo folders and tried to import a 3rd time, it worked.

Edit: I'm using the newest Unity (4.1.0f4), and was upgrading from 1.92 beta 2.

Hey Unikron, I too am interested in per-frame offset controls, and I found this thread.  The other suggestions regnared made sound pretty useful, too.  Is any of this stuff still on your agenda?  Thanks!

Thanks for the quick reply!  And of course, I realize that 2D Toolkit itself takes priority.  I'll keep an eye out for it.  :)

Hey unikron, when do you expect your bug squashing game tutorials to be complete?  I'm a new Unity/2D Toolkit user and am interested in checking them out once they're ready.  Thanks!
