I had never seen the game before, it has a very Hearthstone look to it. Congrats!

Nice info, thank you! I guess I never thought about it since I'm developing a 2D game that doesn't require as many resources, but for more advanced projects it surely does sound limiting.

The RAM argument makes a lot of sense, thank you. Could you elaborate on those other advantages?

Could someone explain what the advantages of a 64-bit Editor are and why all the hype surrounding it? I'm all for the Physically Based rendering and the new UI, but the 64-bit editor still has me a bit perplex.

Showcase / Will of Flame
« on: April 08, 2014, 10:27:34 pm »
Hello guys,

Some of you know me from the series of tutorials I made in the past months about this fantastic plugin. I apologize for not being able to do as many as I would like, but I have been busy with this latest game of mine. Yesterday we released the campaign for Will of Flame, and I would like to take a little time to show it here and ask all of you guys to contribute in any way you can. Backing the project is of course great, and it will ultimately help us finish the project as it was intended to be! The rewards are really cool too, thanks to my very talented partner in crime Antonio. I understand some of you may not be able to back, but nonetheless spreading the word and giving voice to our little project is invaluable!

You can view our website http://www.willofflame.com,

and play the demo https://db.tt/sgPUzaz7

and you can of course take the time to review the project at Indiegogo! http://igg.me/at/willofflame. I hope you guys really like it and help in any way possible. We could never be grateful enough.

Showcase / 2D Toolkit Tutorial Series
« on: August 18, 2013, 10:02:53 pm »
Hi guys,

I have only very recently begun to use 2D Toolkit (about two months) and I am amazed at all the awesome features it has, the support, the community... basically everything around it. I have found the documentation to be pretty good, but tutorial videos to be scarce. I have created what I call the Quick n' Simple Tuts, a series of very short videos that attempt to teach specific features. I have recorded three tutorials as of now. They are somewhat basic if you've already tinkered with 2D Toolkit before, but starters might find them useful, and the idea is to touch on increasingly complex features as I record more and more videos.

#1 Static Sprites: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v9pBYc9KmC8
#2 Animations: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xwLYy1yEerY
#3 Diced Sprites: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CBZFRhKr7kg
#4 Parallaxing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bBsZmRD3dq0
#5 Tilemaps: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jI3jVnXTiIg
#6 Alpha Borders: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IB0rUtJSyNY

I hope you guys learn and enjoy them! Or, give suggestions if you feel something in the videos is unclear.

04/10/2013 : I have added a new tutorial on parallaxing. Enjoy it!
17/11/2013: Added new tutorial on tilemaps. Enjoy!
23/03/2014: Added alpha borders tutorial. It is a general tutorial that applies to any other engine, but since I'm doing this series on 2D Toolkit, I decided to include it using tk2D as the example tool. I apologize for taking so long to upload a new video, but I have been very busy with a project you will soon hear about, and haven't had time before. I seriously hope to improve the rate at which I update the channel. Enjoy it!
