U2DEX v1.30 is now live on the Asset Store! As always, you can read the full changelog in its forum thread here, and you can get it from the Asset Store here.

As this update changes the plugin's directory structure, it's highly recommended to fully delete the old version before updating.

We've just shipped U2DEX v1.30 to the Asset Store, featuring some pretty major improvements, as well as full Unity 5 compatibility and new features. It should be live on the Asset Store in a couple of days, so we'll keep you guys updated! (If you've purchased U2DEX from our itch.io page, v1.30 should be available shortly.)

Fair warning, the price will also be raised to $15 from the current price of $10. Until the new version is up, you can still snag U2DEX for the current price of $10 and automatically get the new update when it's up on the Asset Store!

We just finished setting up U2DEX on itch.io.  To celebrate, U2DEX is 25% off ($7.50) on itch.io through next Monday!

As an additional bonus, we're also offering an Asset Store Voucher to the first 5 people who purchase.  With that you can add U2DEX to your own Asset Store account, or give it to a friend -- it's up to you!  Pretty sweet, but the deal is only valid for as long as the launch sale is running (another 7 days, from the time this is posted).

Enjoy!  If you've got any questions or comments, feel free to let us know.

We've gotten a couple emails wondering if U2DEX works with the beta of Unity 5, and we're pleased to say that it does!

We ran U2DEX through a multiple tests here, and we couldn't find any problems. As always, if you happen to find an edge case don't hesitate to let us know!

For those of you upgrading to Unity 5 (or in the process of upgrading), don't worry. The current version of U2DEX still has you covered!

U2DEX v1.20 has gone live! As always, you can read the full changelog in its forum thread here, and you can get it from the Asset Store here.

This release took a little while, but that was mainly because we didn't have a lot of issues to fix in the last release. Thanks for getting in touch and letting us know your opinions about U2DEX. We've got some pretty awesome feedback in the form of emails and reviews, so a big thanks to everyone who's using U2DEX!

As always, questions and comments are more than welcome!

The 50% off sale has officially ended!  It took a little longer for the store page to update than usual, but in the end it was good for the people who took advantage of it, and we got some great feedback because of it.

Thanks to everyone who helped make this sale a success!

The Asset Store is taking a little longer to update than we thought, so U2DEX is still 50 percent off!
The price should change soon, so if you're still on the fence, now's the time to take the leap!

We'll update again once the price has changed.  Happy new year, and thanks for the support, everyone!

Quick update from us:  the 50 percent off sale has been a great success, so thanks to everyone who purchased the asset, and an extra-special thank-you to everyone who got in touch with us to let us know who much they love using U2DEX.

The 50 percent off sale will end on January 1st, so if you're still thinking about picking up U2DEX at its sale price, your time is running out!

Due to the popularity of the 50 percent off sale, we've decided to extend the sale!

Thanks for all of the support and feedback thus far, whether it's through emails, reviews or forum posts -- we love hearing from you!

(Also, sorry for the late update!  Having an actual percent sign in the post made the post not go through -- took us a while to narrow that down!)

Just picked it up.

Looks pretty cool, I like the simplified Transform.  I wish Unity had a way to just allow you to have default editor extensions in place so you don't have to import them for every project.
Thanks!  We're glad you like it!  Having U2DEX be auto-imported on new projects would be great -- maybe Unity will get something like that in the future.

As far as I can see, the three things you get are:

Modified Transform Panel in Inspector
Grid Tool
Snapping Tool for Grid Tool

Are these just UI  changes, does it affect final build in anyway?
Are you adding any other features?
Correct, you get the three things you mentioned (although the Transform Inspector has multiple things going for it, like the rotation, scale and layer filter).  There's also the Applicable Classes that allow you to apply the Transform Inspector to any named class. (Like the Unity Camera)  Also, don't forget that the Snap tool can be used without the Grid tool, and vice versa.  They just work best in tandem, but it's not mandatory to use both at the same time.

At its core, this is an Editor Extension, so nothing will currently affect the actual game's build or anything like that.

We've got some ideas for future versions, and a list of things we'd like to add, but we're not sure if/when features will be added.  We'll keep everyone updated as we finalize features and such, so don't worry about being left out of the loop.

Thanks for supporting U2DEX!  Let us know if you've got any other questions/comments/ideas!

We just received the notification that the 1.10 update is live!

All of the changes listed in the above post are now applied for new purchases.  If you've already purchased U2DEX, you'll need to download the update from the Asset Store and import the new package.

Also, don't forget, it's still 50% off!
