I gets lots of these errors using Unity 2017.4.

Sorry, I haven't touched C# code in about four years, and haven't kept up with Unity. Is there an edit I can use to replace these operators?

What platform have you set in unity?

Yes, I'm using version control.

What's the cleanest way to update tk2d? Are there files I should delete from my project, and then install it from the asset store?

No, update unity - then reimport the newest version from this site.

thanks man that's really cool of you
is there a way we can contribute a small donation? just as a token of appreciation
PM me if interested, might be better to keep it private?

regards

I think this is a good idea in general, we would certainly pitch in some money, bought it back in 2012(?) and have used it in numerous project since so we've really got a lot for our money I would say. So either some kind of donation or even a Patreon could be a great idea to keep it going and make sure it will work with new Unity versions!

Support / Problems updating to Unity 2018 (Solved)
« Last post by madgeargames on August 05, 2019, 07:00:16 pm »
Hello,

Until recently we were using Unity version 5.6.4p2 (64-bit) and 2D Toolkit version 2.5.8.1, but now our game is going to be ported to consoles so we needed to upgrade Unity to Unity 2018.

So we first tried this:
1) We installed Unity version 2018.4.5f1.
2) We Updated 2D Toolkit version to 2.5.8.16.
3) We tried then to edit a spritecollection from the "2D Toolkit > Edit" new menu, but it tried to open a window, that window was blank and Unity freezed.
4) So we tried the integrity checker. It didn't work.
5) So we tried to rebuild index. It didn't work.
6) So we tried to Rebuild all sprites. It didn't work.

Then we downloaded Unity-2018.3.7f1 to try that version, but it didn't work also.

Fortunatelly we have backups of our project (we use git), but I fear we are a bit lost here, maybe we didn't follow the right steps to upgrade? Could you please tell us the correct sequence to upgrade Unity to some 2018 version and 2D Toolkit to its newer version?

Thank you for your time.

Best regards,
Mad Gear Games team.
