Hi,
It never did - you have to import into BMFont / Glyph designer and convert it there.

No. Its possible to do a lot of fancy setup with GlyphDesigner and other tools to make the font look good, different antialiasing settings, etc.
We're not planning on replicating any of that when there are good, established tools to do it.
